Prologue


Far off in the deep depths of the universe is a planet that lives in constant dusk called Ziraizar, which translates to Moonlight Star. It has no sun, but 5 moons, 4 of which reflect off of Imperium, the brightest moon in their moonlight system. These reflections create the soft light on the planet they surround. 
	The dominant race of this planet are small fluffy creatures called Grotyles. The Grotyles are a docile race of what we would consider aliens, resembling owls and yetis but with no arms, big fluffy ears and thickly padded paws. They’re very intelligent and speak telepathically amongst each other the vast majority of the time.
	Ziraizar is the only planet in their small moonlight system that utilizes all 5 of the moon’s power for their day to day needs. Each moon’s powers assist the Grotyles in their daily lives in different but very important ways. 
	The Grotyles take great pride in keeping Starshire and Ziraizar lush and thriving. With a profound understanding of the delicate balance that exists within their ecosystem, they have crafted a harmonious coexistence between their advanced technological endeavors and the natural world around them. Starshire seamlessly blends into the flourishing landscapes and bordering the Lunaris Forest, the Grotyles utilize as many sustainable materials and renewable energy sources as they can. Every decision they make is rooted in their commitment to preserving the planet’s biodiversity and ensuring its longevity for generations to come. 
	With the advancements that they have made, they dedicate the majority of their efforts to science and their space exploration program. This ambitious initiative is chiefly overseen by the brilliant mind of Dr. GroNye, a scientist who has led groundbreaking research and innovation in the field of interstellar travel. Alongside Dr. GroNye, Astronaut and Adventurer Gruzz plays a pivotal role in this program, combining his expertise in piloting and space operations with an unwavering enthusiasm for exploring the unknown. 
	Together, their dynamic collaboration has led to the development of revolutionary propulsion systems, cutting-edge spacecraft designs, and innovative strategies for sustaining life during extended space missions. As a result, the Grotyles’ space exploration program stands on the brink of opening new frontiers, offering the promise of discovery, cooperation, and an expanded understanding of the universe beyond their lush and thriving home planet.
	During some research of their moonlight system, the lab had discovered a new planet a fair distance from their own. Dr. GroNye and Gruzz had spent quite some time preparing for the next and most important space expedition of their time. The planet they would be traveling to was something of legends and held the secret to creating a planet of harmony and tranquility. After years worth of planning, the launch day had finally arrived and Gruzz was about to head out on a life changing journey for him and his community.




Chapter 1: Departure to the Unknown


The residents of Starshire buzzed with anticipation as they gathered to bid farewell to their esteemed explorer and astronaut, Gruzz. The skies shimmered with a kaleidoscope of colors, mirroring the excitement that electrified the air. Gruzz’s departure marked the beginning of an extraordinary journey, one that would forever alter the course of their lives.
	The central square of Starshires bustling spaceport was transformed into a lively celebration, honoring Gruzz’s courageous mission to explore an uncharted planet in search of an ancient artifact.
	Decorations adorned every corner, reflecting the spirit of adventure that fueled the hearts of the gathered crowd. Laughter and merriment filled the air, blending with the cosmic melodies that serenaded the joyful gathering on this very night.
	As the festivities reached their peak, Gruzz’s trusted mentor, Dr. GroNye stepped up to a decorated podium, his eyes gleaming with pride. Dr. GroNye sent out a telepathic wave, capturing the attention of the crowd. The jubilant chatter of the townsfolk gradually subsided as his voice echoed through the square.
	“Fellow Grotyles, today we gather not only to bid farewell to our intrepid explorer, but to also celebrate the spirit of curiosity and bravery that defines us as a civilization,” Dr. GroNye proclaimed, his words laced with warmth and admiration. “Gruzz, you embark on a journey that will push the boundaries of our understanding and pave the way for a brighter future. May the stars guide you, and may your endeavors bring us the artifact that can enhance our lives.”
	The crowd erupted in excitement, their cheers resonating like a symphony of joy across the spaceport. Gruzz’s infectious smile radiated a kind warmth as he stood on the podium beside Dr. GroNye. His eyes met the sea of eager faces that stretched out before him. Bathed in the glow of their admiration, he felt an indescribable connection to the very essence of his community. With gratitude filling his heart, Gruzz addressed the crowd.
	“Thank you all for your unwavering support and belief in this mission. Your cheers are a reminder that I’m not alone in this venture. We stand united in our pursuit of knowledge and progress. The path ahead is uncharted, but with the strength of our community behind me, I’m ready to face whatever challenges come my way and bring back the discoveries that will light our path forward.”
	The crowd’s cheers intensified, a chorus of unity that fueled Gruzz’s intention as he prepared to embrace the mysteries of the cosmos.
	Amidst the cheers, Dr. GroNye, the visionary behind the space exploration program, continued.
	“You’re standing on the brink of history, Gruzz. Our community believes in you, and your journey symbolizes the culmination of our collective efforts.”
	Gruzz turned to Dr. GroNye, with gratitude in his eyes.
	“Thank you, Dr. GroNye. None of this would have been possible without your guidance and the advancements you’ve pioneered. It’s an honor to represent our community as I embark on this remarkable journey.”

As he gazed out into the crowd of his peers, the townfolk’s exuberant enthusiasm was like a substantial force, enveloping him in a cocoon of support. Each cheer of encouragement, carried with it a collective fortitude that seemed to reverberate in the very air he breathed. It was a powerful reminder that his journey, his bold pursuit of the stars, was not merely an individual endeavor but a shared mission that transcended the community’s ambitions.
	Before the festivities came to an end, Dr. GroNye pulled Gruzz aside to give him a gift to aid him on his travels. 
	“Gruzz, take these with you,” Dr. GroNye said as he passed a small box to Gruzz. He opened the box and his eyes widened in wonder.
	“These are moonstones harvested from our great celestial bodies in case of emergencies. They are small, but will allow only you to utilize the moon's powers so far away from home. We’ve never traveled this far out of our galaxy so you must take these with you.”
	Gruzz looked at the stones in awe. They were stunning, tiny shards that glowed with the dim light they were accustomed to seeing in their skies.
	“Thank you Dr. GroNye. I will guard these with my life,” Gruzz replied as he gently placed the box in his bag. The two shared a look of understanding before retreating to their homes for a good night's rest.

The following day, as Imperium began its ascent over the horizon, Gruzz found himself aboard the spaceship, a magnificent vessel poised to carry him to the uncharted planet. He strapped himself into his seat, the hum of the engines echoing through his core. The countdown commenced, sending a thrill down his spine as the numbers ticked closer to the moment when his dreams would lift off the ground and soar into the boundless expanse of the cosmos.
	As the final moments of the countdown approached, Gruzz’s heart raced with excitement. In those fleeting seconds his thoughts turned to his community, the familiar faces that had been his foundation and inspiration. He channeled the power of Vorbi, the moon of communication, and took a deep breath before transmitting a heartfelt farewell message to his community in Starshire.
	Gruzz’s voice resonated with emotion as it was carried by a telepathic wave back to his community, “To all my fellow Grotyles, as I venture into the unknown in search of new technologies for our planet, please know that each one of you is with me in spirit. Your support, encouragement, and belief have brought me to this moment. Though I may be leaving our planet’s embrace, your unwavering presence remains in my heart. Until we meet again, let our unity be a beacon guiding me through the uncharted cosmos.”
	The spacecraft’s engines roared to life. The connection to his community became a steady pulse in his thoughts with well wishes and safe travels, a reminder of the unbreakable bond that would span the vastness of space.
	With a jolt of power, the spaceship took off and began its ascent. Gruzz’s heart pounded with excitement and a touch of anticipation as the ship left Ziraizar’s atmosphere behind. The stars began to sprinkle the cosmic canvas and Gruzz couldn’t help but marvel at the vastness of space, a backdrop that humbled even his grandest aspirations. The journey ahead held both secrets and possibility. It was a thrilling puzzle that would test his courage and resilience, while also offering a chance to unravel the mysterious tapestry of this ancient artifact and the possibilities it held for living on a harmonious, peaceful planet.
	As the spaceship hurtled through the cosmos, the view of Ziraizar grew smaller in the rearview monitor. Gruzz’s gaze remained fixed upon his homeworld, his mind swirling with emotions. The thrill of the unknown awaited him, its mysterious pull urging him forward into uncharted territories. The shrinking image of Ziraizar served as an emotional reminder of the distance he was journeying, and the transformative voyage that lay ahead.

Much time had passed and the uncharted planet beckoned in the distance as it came into Gruzz’s view. Not far off from this uncharted planet he noticed something he was not accustomed to seeing. A luminous moon far brighter than the moons he was used to seeing, looking like it was orbiting the planet he was approaching. 
	Gruzz stared in awe as he adjusted the tint on the space shuttles windows. “Would you just look at that! Not every day that you would come across something so beautiful.”
	Nearing closer, he slowed down the engines and made sure to add protective eyewear to his satchel since his eyes weren’t used to such a bright light in the sky.
	As the ship’s engines slowly thrummed, Gruzz’s thoughts were a whirlwind of dreams and possibilities, each moment propelling him further into a future that held both extraordinary discoveries and unforeseen challenges. He was ready to chase these secrets into the unknown. Getting ready to embark on his journey through this uncharted planet, Gruzz prepared the ship for landing.
